Research Interests:
My research interest primarily focuses on the design and development of polymeric biomaterials for localized disease management, with applications spanning oral infections, cartilage defects, and prosthetic joint infections. A diverse range of materials, including soft hydrogels and mechanically robust bone cements, have been engineered to address specific clinical challenges. Current investigations emphasize biomaterials for osteomyelitis treatment, cartilage regeneration, and antimicrobial polypeptides. Future directions include expanding into tissue regeneration, leveraging 3D/4D bioprinting technologies, integrating AI/ML for biomaterials design, and exploring robot-assisted synthesis of polypeptides to accelerate translational outcomes.
