Hi there! I’m Amruth Bhat, an MTech student at the Department of Bioengineering. I have an Engineering degree in Biotechnology and previously worked on glioblastoma proteomics and heterogeneity before joining the lab. I am now intrigued by aging research and senescence. As a joint student at the CSB Lab and SAInI’s Lab, I am looking at heterogeneity in cellular senescence using both wet-lab experiments and computation. I have been interested in phenotypic state transitions of late and ultimately aim to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the cell fate decisions of senescence and apoptosis. My other interests include neurodegeneration and brain aging. You can find me engaged in theatre, literature, philosophy and cinema in my free time.
