I am a 4th year graduate student at the Department of Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Science. I have completed my Master of Science (Biology) from Indian Institute of Science as well. My primary research interests are in understanding foundational principles governing biological systems in health and disease. I employ a variety of tools including but not limited to mathematical models, multi-modal and multi-omic analysis of large scale datasets and computational analysis of clinical samples. Specifically I work on and am interested in deciphering a bottom up theory for coordination of cellular processes that occur during cancer metastasis. I have also explored other areas of biology such as plant biology, metabolic and pathogenic diseases in human as well as network biology from a computational standpoint. A central tenet that I believe in – “There is infinite beauty and unexplored avenues in the complexity of biology as there is in the infinite vastness of space for me to discover.” My hobbies include sketching, trekking, cycling and stargazing.
