The Department of Bioengineering (BE) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) proudly marks its 10th Anniversary! Since its founding in 2015, the department has been advancing world-class research at the interface of biology and engineering, applying scientific principles to understand and innovate with living systems.
From its beginnings as an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Bioengineering in 2012, BE has grown into a thriving hub of innovation, bringing together faculty, students, alumni, and collaborators from around the world.
To celebrate this milestone, a special 10th Anniversary collection has been curated and published by Wiley, featuring cutting-edge research articles from our community and global experts. This collection highlights the transformative impact of our work and the global reach of the BE community.
