Vinod, Bangalorean and a native of Tiruvannamalai did my schooling and college in Bengaluru. Since graduation, I worked on diabetes for couples of years which invigorated him and purused Ph.D. in the same lab later to continue my research journey. My research interests include clinical/translational studies in diabetes and diabetes-associated complications.

I am Alka Kumari. I joined PhD program at BSSE in January, 2022. I am interested in exploring the mechanical aspect of cancer biology. Currently, I am studying the role of confinement in mechanical force-induced cancer cell killing. Apart from my research, I enjoy an occasional walk, writing poetry and trying new cuisines

Project title: Understanding the initiation of breast cancer from a biophysical point of view

I am interested in providing precision treatment to cancer patients. To achieve this goal, I want to learn to use artificial intelligence tools on clinical and omics data obtained from patients and build AI models for delivering individualized therapy to cancer patients. I am interested in reading non-fiction books.
