Hello, I am Akhilesh Agrawal. I have completed Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery in 2020 from Sharad Pawar Dental College Maharashtra. Although from a dental background, I am primarily interested in engineering biomaterials to address musculoskeletal regeneration. My work focuses on designing and developing biomaterial inks for 3D printing. During my leisure time I enjoy listening music, watching horror movies and playing badminton. I also love to explore adventure places having breathtaking natural backdrop. I am a big foodie, I like street food and chinese cuisine. Always happy to learn and help. Project title: Engineering Biomaterials for 3D Printing of Osteochondral Constructs

I did my integrated master’s in bioengineering and medical nanotechnology. As a result, I have always sought interdisciplinary solutions for problems in science and medicine. I am interested in medical imaging and the synthesis and characterization of contrast agents. As an avid sports enthusiast, I also like to analyze data visually in sporting and research environments.

“Hi, I am Partha. I have a master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, and another master’s degree in Film Studies from Jadavpur University. Now I’m trying to dabble in Biology, in the hope of directly affecting lives around me positively before I become stardust again. I love teaching, I have taught at Muralidhar Girls’ College, Kolkata, for four years, before joining the lab.

A late bloomer, I’m curious about the heaven and the earth and everything in between. I love learning new things, especially new languages. I live for Szymborska, Tagore, Austen. And science. And cinema. And love.”

Project title: Role of Notch Signalling Pathway in Cancer

I am Prem Singh Anant from Korba, Chhattisgarh. I have done BTech in Biotechnology from NIT Raipur. I have joined as a PhD candidate in Immunoengineering lab at BSSE. My area of research is mechanisms of neutrophil action at biomaterials implantation. Apart from academics I’m a sports person and an NCC cadet. My hobbies are stargazing, trekking and playing sports.

An interdisciplinary bioengineer in the making, who loves to draw, paint, sing (at times), nurture plants and watch movies. Thriving and driven towards decoding host response to tuberculosis bacteria with a translational outlook.

I graduated with a major in Biology from IISER Bhopal. I am interested in working on understanding the design principles of cellular decision making networks for my PhD.

Project title: Design principles of regulatory networks driving phenotypic plasticity in cancer

I am an aspiring and motivated Ph.D. scholar at BSSE department, IISc, Bangalore. I have completed my masters degree from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda in Life Sciences (specialization in Plant Sciences) with First rank (Gold medalist). I graduated from Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar. Studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya Bargarh, and bagged First rank in class 12th Science stream in my school. My current research focuses on understanding the impact of ultrasound-generated force on oral cancer cells. My qualifications include national-level competitive exams (CSIR UGC NET, GATE and CTET). I am an avid educator and have a great inclination toward plants, art, and craft.
