Hello, I am Arijit Mondal. I have completed my BS-MS dual degree with a major in Biology from IISER Kolkata. My research involves developing a serology based tool for the detection of specific antibodies to more than 20 pathogens and determine the infection history of an individual with a single drop of blood. Apart from research and academics, my hobbies include swimming, listening to music and occasionally playing cricket.

I am a passionate bioengineer with a B.Tech. in Bioengineering, currently advancing the frontiers of mechanobiology. Working in a cutting-edge lab, my research focuses on ultrasound-mediated selective targeting and killing of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), contributing to the development of novel cancer therapies. Beyond research, I am an avid music enthusiast, taking long solitary journeys and a devoted reader of psychology, constantly exploring the intricate connections between science, sound, and the human mind.

I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biotech. With a background in biotechnology and biomedical engineering, my primary research interests include medical technologies and computational biology. During my research journey, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to drug discovery efforts for conditions such as cancer.

Project title: Sustain release of Rifamycin for the treatment of Tuberculosis

I am a Physics graduate from IISER TVM, and my inquisitiveness towards biological systems brought me to bioengineering department at IISc. My current research interests include Membrane Biophysics and DNA nanotechnology. Previously, I have worked on Hydrogen Energy materials, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Stem Cell Biology, and nanopore DNA sequencing. Outside research you can find me trekking at outskirts of Bangalore.

Hey there! I am Pradeep. I have completed my dual masters MTech in Nanobiotechnology from ASNSMM and MS in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from University of Arizona. I continued to work as a Research Scientist for a year. I was always fond of working in the interface of biology and materials. During my PhD, I will be working on the development and characterization of Renal Organoids.

I am a Biomedical Engineer (M.Tech. graduate), having experience in the R&D sector of healthcare, particularly in the field of imaging modalities (MRI, IR Scanning devices, etc,.). I have also worked in hospitals and research institutes on various projects. With skills and experience of implementing the utility of imaging systems on actual affected patients, I am interested to work more on MR-related projects that would make a contribution towards the improvement of standard of living of patients.

I’m a biomedical engineering UG graduate turned Bioengineering PhD student at IISc, and I’m looking forward to my research in disease modeling and drug discovery based on renal organoids, developed using 3D bioprinting and suitable biomaterials. Apart from academics, I’m an avid reader of fiction, a superb carrom player, and a decent badminton player. I love watching and blogging about sports, especially cricket.
